What would today’s world look like, if Cold War had never ended, if Soviet Union had never collapsed and Berlin Wall had never fallen down?” - those are the questions, which the Project “Alternative Reality” asks you.We intend to draw the comparative picture of USSR recent history and modern US developments.

Designed by Gallery Gabrichidze, this exhibition opens up the imaginary world of 21st century, where the the imaginary world of 21st century, superficial artistically made posters showing the Soviet or US style propaganda as if Cold war would be still going on; or pseudo - documentary fiction videos made imitating the Soviet propaganda films as we imagine it would be produced now, in 21 century, or even Cold War style internet forum and some artificial segment of world wide-web divided by this imaginary Cold War.

Part of our room will be also given to the exhibitions of real artefacts called "museum of communism" and "museum of capitalism" and showing the real achievements and also the real atrocities of both systems in the past century... Thus by displaying exaggerated picture of alternative “history” we hope to create alternative perception of the present, trough the prism of past.
Moreover, the gallery will provide the facilities for an open and free debate aside form stereotyped framing and biased approach. We are showing various alternatives to today’s world; including creating the utopic reality model inspired by classic works

like Orwell’s "1984" or "Brave new World" in some of our rooms... The project “Alternative Reality - the USSR and the US in the 21st century” intends to evoke critical discussion over current global policies. First, this will be done through a one-month exhibition presenting a multitude of traditional and modern art forms like paintings, photos, new media, installation and digital media-all created as an "artefacts" of the imaginary reality we want to present. Like displaying Discussion groups will involve participation of leading public figures, politicians and decision-makers.
To add political and academic value to the debates Gallery will assemble speakers from various backgrounds, with very or slightly contrasting standpoints, like members of Communist parties, Liberal Movements, as well historians and political and social scientists.
